I often think about the mothers before us, especially our Mothers and grandmothers, who worked tirelessly to take care of the home and family. They walked long hours, juggling responsibilities, but many ended up feeling like they missed out on enjoying their own lives. I want to change that narrative for us young moms. We can have fun while being mothers! It’s essential for us to find joy in our journey.

It's time for us to embrace the other sides of motherhood. You deserve to enjoy your journey! Prioritizing yourself isn't selfish; it's essential. When you take time for self-care—whether it's indulging in a hobby, spending time with friends, or simply enjoying empowering yourself to recharge your spirit. This not only benefits you but also sets a positive example for your children. Show them that self-love, work and balance are crucial parts of life.

I was chatting with a friend recently, and we dove into a deep conversation about how moms often miss out on enjoying life because they're so focused on their kids. she shared a story of a mom who worked hard, took care of her children, and ran a business, and eventually built a home here in Nigeria. After years of dedication, she decided it was time to return from the U.S. to relax and enjoy her life. Sadly, she passed away before she could see the house she built and fully embrace the joy she had worked so hard for.
